Milestone in our HVAC project for Regina

Together with several partners, Transitio has reached an important milestone in a joint project to modernize the HVAC systems in Regina vehicles.

HVAC – Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning – is the system that ensures the right temperature and good air quality on board. A central part of this system is the control boards, the “brain” that enables the systems to function as intended.

In the Regina fleet, the existing control boards have been obsolete for some time, and without a functioning HVAC system, the regional trains cannot operate in passenger service. This affects both operational reliability and passengers.

The project has now taken a major step forward: the testing phase for the newly developed control boards has been officially approved. This represents a significant improvement that strengthens the stability and functionality of the HVAC systems and helps ensure that the trains can continue operating reliably throughout their remaining service life.

“Approval of the testing phase is an important milestone. It shows that our joint efforts have delivered results and that we can now move forward with implementation to strengthen the operational reliability of the Regina fleet,” says Jan Eriksson, Vehicle Manager for Regina, together with Project Manager Ava Mirzaie from Transitio’s Technical Department.
